Lake michigan shoreline

Located just two hours north of Chicago and an hour from Milwaukee, the Asher and Fox House are side-by-side houses perched on nearly 300 feet of pristine Lake Michigan private shoreline and surrounded by dairy farms and acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.

While their location quickly allows guests to feel secluded and removed from the hectic pace of daily life, the Asher and Fox are only a short distance from world-class golf courses such as Whistling Straights, luxury spa facilities at Kohler Waters Spa, multiple state parks featuring large uncrowded sandy beaches, charming small towns filled with antiques and local shops, farmers markets, apple orchards, and pumpkin patches.

Belgium, Wisconsin also has a place in notable Great Lakes shipwreck history. In 1845, the steamer ship, the Niagara, was carrying passengers and freight from Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Chicago and caught fire ultimately sinking a mile off the shoreline just north of the Fox House and Asher. Details and pictures of the remains of the Niagara in Lake Michigan can be found here.
